Calvary Nursery School and Child Care (CNSCC) offers a morning Nursery School Program and a full-day Child Care Program. Our early childhood center is one of only three in Union County to receive the 4-star distinction from Grow NJ Kids. CNSCC was founded in 1993 by Calvary Lutheran Church to assist our community with the care and education of our precious children. We serve children age 2 ½-5 years.
Our program strives to nurture and educate the whole child in a Christian setting. We focus on all areas of early childhood development: cognitive, fine and gross motor, social-emotional, and language. This is all fostered through hands-on play and activity-based learning opportunities. We provide both structured and unstructured activities and daily explorations in science, math, social studies, literacy, and music. Our loving, experienced staff members help the children learn and grow while experiencing God's love.
We are licensed by the State of NJ, implement NJ Preschool Teaching and Learning standards, and follow state health and safety standards and practices. We partner with families and professionals within our community to ensure we meet the needs of all the children we serve. All teaching staff are involved in ongoing professional development and training designed to ensure our teaching practices are continually kept up to date with current research and best practices.
