Revised Common Lectionary

Revised Common
Lectionary

Our lessons, hymns, prayers and the Pastor’s sermons are all based on the Revised Common Lectionary.   This Lectionary provides a series of readings starting anew each year with Advent. For each Sunday, three readings and a psalm are suggested and include: a Gospel reading, an Old Testament reading, and a New Testament reading.

Each year of the Revised Common Lectionary centers on one Gospel - either Matthew, Mark and Luke. The Gospel of John is read periodically in all three years.

You can find the Sunday readings and a list of suggested readings for during the week on the ELCA website HERE.
