CAN YOU HELP?

>Volunteers are needed to organize and clean-up several places in the church.  Having a team would be great and make the work go faster.

If you can help in any of the above ways, please email the office.  Thank You!

JOIN US FOR HOLY WEEK

Holy Week leads us to the cross of Jesus’ crucifixion. It is the time when we hear Jesus’ words, “if any want to become

my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”

Palm/Passion Sunday – April 13

10:15am Festival Worship

We will hear the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem as well as the story of Jesus’ passion and death as recounted in the Gospel of Luke.

Maundy Thursday – April 17

7:30pm Worship with Absolution, Foot Washing, and Stripping of the Altar

On Maundy Thursday, we hear from the Gospel of John of Jesus’ last meal with his closest friends and followers and engage in the same sacramental act of servant leadership that he offered on that night: foot washing. Join in this powerful service, the first step on our Holy Week

journey towards Easter.

Good Friday – April 18 – 7:30pm Worship

This solemn service of prayer and reflection centers around the account of the state sanctioned murder of Jesus by crucifixion. As we gather and hear the

story that we know so well, we are confronted once again with the amazing lengths to which God does go for love of us, God’s created and beloved people. There are no depths—not even death—to which God will not travel to care for us. There is hope and good news even in this night of intense sorrow and emptiness.

Easter Vigil – April 19 – 7:30pm Worship

On the night before Easter Day, Christians around the world gather to celebrate Christ’s passage from death to life. The service includes strong signs:

new fire in darkness, light spreading from the light of Christ, the water and Word of baptism, the first resurrection meal. We will hear the great saving stories of Hebrew scriptures and the first Easter

gospel. This is a new service for our congregation, but it is a powerful and

important way for us to conclude our Holy Week worship and prepare for the glorious celebration of Easter Sunday.

Our Vision

GROW

Young or old, we are all on a faith journey.  Come with us as we grow in our relationship with Christ. Wherever you are on your faith journey or in your relationship with God, you are welcome here.

CONNECT

Sharing in each others lives outside of worship makes Calvary a family.  We gather to support each other as we strive to live out our Christian values everyday.

SERVE

Calvary has a strong history rooted in serving our community and the world.  By serving others, we thank God for the many gifts God has given us. We invite you to discover with us how you can bring Christ's Kingdom to your corner
of this world.
We serve Christ in and through the church and we welcome your hands and hearts in this place.
