DONATIONS FOR SCHOOL KITS will be collected now through September 6th. If you are unable to purchase items but would like to make a donation, please put your donation in an envelope with your name, mark it “GWOH” and put in the offering plate.
On Sunday, September 13th, we will gather after worship in Fellowship Hall to assemble the kits for distribution to Lutheran World Relief.
DONATIONS NEEDED FOR School Kits:
(All items must be new.)
FOUR 70-sheet notebooks of wide- or college-ruled paper, approximately 8”x 10 ½”;
ONE 30-centimeter ruler, or a ruler with centimeters on one side and inches on the other
ONE pencil sharpener
ONE pair of blunt scissors (safety scissors with embedded steel blades work well)
FIVE unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers;
secure together with a rubber band
FIVE black or blue ballpoint pens (no gel ink);
secure together with arubber band
ONE box of 16 or 24 crayons
ONE 2 ½” eraser

SUMMER PRAYER CHAIN
This summer we are again making our prayers visible through our prayer chain - growing along the Eastman Street wall of the sanctuary. Everyone is welcome to add their own prayer link.
The prayer chain offers us the opportunity to bring our personal prayers into the assembly without voicing them out loud, and helps us to see and remember our connectedness to one another and the community
in which we are rooted.

LOOKING AHEAD TO SEPTEMBER
NEW WORSHIP AND SUNDAY SCHOOL TIME THIS FALL!
Beginning Sunday, September 6, Worship will be at 9:30am and Sunday School will happen during Worship.
Sunday Morning Schedule
8:15am Choir Rehearsal
9:30am Worship with Holy Communion. Sunday School will leave during the Gathering Song and return in time for Holy Communion
10:45am Fellowship on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month
Sunday School Information
- Open to all children up to 6th grade.
- Children 3 and under, please bring an adult with you.
- Lessons will be based on the readings used in worship.
- Families will begin worship together, children will be dismissed during the Gathering Song,
and will return in time for Holy Communion.
