SING YOUR PRAISE TO THE LORD!

Choir rehearses on Sunday at 9:30am. Now is the perfect time to participate in our music ministry and use your gifts to bring scripture alive. If you are interested in singing or sharing your musical talents, please contact Jeanne,

our Music Director, at

jeanne@calvarycranford.com.

HOW TO HELP WITH HURRICANE RECOVERY

If you are looking for a way to help those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, click below to donate to Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR).

LDR is our denomination's disaster response agency that works across the nation responding to natural disasters and helping communities and individuals recover and rebuild. When we can't be the hands or feet on the ground, we can be the funding that helps others do the work!

UNLOVED GIFTS WANTED

It's that time of year to clear out our closets to make room for all of our holiday gifts. If you find any unwanted NEW or VERY VERY GENTLY used gifts lying around, we will be happy to take them off your hands. Please bring your unwanted treasures by December 1st and place in the container labeled “Caring Ministry Re Gifts” under the table in the church narthex. Your re-gifts were a big hit in the past when Santa delivered to folks at the Christmas luncheon. Think of yourself as a Secret Santa spreading joy & happiness.

CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON

Please join the Caring Ministry on December 3 at 12:30pm in the church narthex for our annual Christmas party.  We will start with a service project followed by lunch. Dessert and a few surprises will close out the day.  Please RSVP to the office by 11/25.

A good will offering will be collected to benefit St Joseph’s Social Services "Giving Tree" (christmas gifts for those in need).  Please make your checks payable to Calvary Lutheran Church and add St. Joseph’s in the bottom note. Everyone is welcome to join and/or donate!

We will collect new and gently used coats again this year for "Jersey Cares". Donations can be dropped in the narthex November 30 to December 25.

NJ Synod Youth Retreat

JOIN US ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1!

First Sunday Worship is a shorter, more casual worship service designed for younger members of our congregation and their families, but ALL ARE WELCOME! We will hear and talk about a Bible story, sing some fun songs, receive Holy Communion, and finish up with breakfast refreshments!

First Sunday Worship will be at 9am on:
December 1, January 5, February 2, March 2, April 6, and May 4.

Confirmation Class gets a makeover!

This year's confirmation class will use a new curriculum called "Confirm Not Conform".  Going beyond Biblical literacy and Lutheran theology, we will encourage critical thinking and questions.

This program is for our 8th and 9th graders. If you haven't been contacted, and are interested in participating, email the church office.

All are invited to check out the material available at www.confirmnotconform.com.

COMMUNION INSTRUCTION CLASS

Even though class is no longer a prerequisite for receiving communion during worship, it is still an essential part of our formation as followers of Jesus to learn more about the

Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Parents of children in third grade, please keep your eyes open in the coming months for information about communion classes which will happen in the spring.

If your child is older than third grade but has not attended Communion Instruction class, or if you have any questions about this change in worship practice, please contact Pastor Kat.

Our Vision

GROW

Young or old, we are all on a faith journey.  Come with us as we grow in our relationship with Christ. Wherever you are on your faith journey or in your relationship with God, you are welcome here.

CONNECT

Sharing in each others lives outside of worship makes Calvary a family.  We gather to support each other as we strive to live out our Christian values everyday.

SERVE

Calvary has a strong history rooted in serving our community and the world.  By serving others, we thank God for the many gifts God has given us. We invite you to discover with us how you can bring Christ's Kingdom to your corner
of this world.
We serve Christ in and through the church and we welcome your hands and hearts in this place.
